Everything I’ve Learned in 5 Years of Teaching Yoga in Community — In One Course

Liberatory Sequencing: Building Trauma-Informed, Abolition-Centered Yoga Classes

A step-by-step method to design yoga classes that center nervous system safety, honor your students’ lived experience, and treat rest as a form of resistance — not a reward.

Enroll in Liberatory Sequencing

This Course Is for You If…

  • You’re a yoga teacher, teacher-in-training, or space-holder who knows “traditional” sequencing often ignores trauma, race, class, and ability.
  • You want a clear, repeatable framework for building classes that move from Breath → Movement → Meditation without replicating harm.
  • You’re teaching in community spaces (churches, studios, nonprofits, gyms, online) and want your classes to feel liberatory, not performative.
  • You’re ready to unlearn whiteness in your cueing and alignment and lean into language that centers choice, consent, and agency.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

  • Use The Clearing Sequencing Method: Breath (Pranayama) → Movement (R.O.M. → Move & Breathe → Strengthen → Stretch) → Meditation & Rest (Dhyana / Yoga Nidra).
  • Root your sequencing in abolition, the koshas, and the nervous system instead of aesthetics and performance.
  • Reframe alignment from “one right shape” to “what actually serves this body and this nervous system.”
  • Shift your cueing from correction and control to invitation, consent, and collaboration.
  • Treat rest as resistance and close every class with Yoga Nidra and Savasana that actually land in the body.
  • Design liberatory classes you can adapt for studios, community spaces, and system-impacted communities.

What’s Inside

  • Over 30 Videos and Practices on-demand, you can move through at your own pace.
  • A companion workbook with prompts, sequencing grids, and reflection questions.
  • Downloadable PDFs & worksheets for planning liberatory sequences, auditing your current classes, and rewriting cues.
  • Guided practices (meditations, Yoga Nidra scripts, reflection prompts) you can use for yourself and your students.
